We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in editing and correcting medical dictation generated by speech recognition software, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality in patient records. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread medical dictations transcribed via speech recognition software, ensuring clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
• Transcribe and format medical reports, including consultations, follow-up visits, and diagnostic results.
• Convert medical abbreviations and jargon into formal and complete medical terminology for clarity in documentation.
• Ensure uncompromised patient care by maintaining high transcription accuracy and data integrity.
• Create and maintain templates in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, primarily using eClinicalWorks (ECW).
• Work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to clarify inconsistencies or errors in documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and institutional standards.
• Archive and manage updated patient records in digital format for quick retrieval and legal compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Transcriptionist, or similar role in the healthcare industry.
• Proficient in editing and correcting speech-recognized medical dictation.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
• Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) and other EHR systems.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and language skills.
• High typing speed with accuracy under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain composure in fast-paced clinical environments.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
